    This position is responsible for ensuring all imported items and select domestic products meet state and federal regulations along with internal performance standards and quality.


    • Manages the final inspection and lab testing process for all import items and select domestic exclusive branded items to ensure product quality meets established AQL levels and products evaluated for assortment testing, test waivers, or document reviews
    • Maintains third party site to ensure business rules are captured and correct documentation is entered into the system
    • Follows-up with service providers and vendors to resolve any final inspection or lab testing failures
    • Evaluates all exclusive branded label artwork to ensure compliance with FPLA/UPLR, 16 CFR Part 500, 19 CFR Part 134, and CA Prop 65 labeling requirements.
    • Corresponds with vendors to ensure that all products are inspected or tested in a timely manner and to the appropriate current testing requirements. Act as a liaison with service providers to ensure that reports are issued in a timely manner.
    • Works cross-functionally to develop testing protocols for all import items and select domestic TSC exclusive branded items to ensure regulatory compliance and performance standards
    • Identifies patterns of unsatisfactory vendor performance (repeated failures in testing, late testing or shipping, excessive field complaints.) and suggest corrections to improve performance.
    • Manages SOPs, test request forms, and protocols to ensure an accurate and efficient quality process as well as consistency between service providers
    • Develops & pulls reports on quality assurance activities that include final inspections, EPA compliance, SEC requirements, lab testing, social audits, etc.
    • Works with an internal cross functional team and with outside vendors to identify and collect information needed to comply with SEC conflict minerals requirements
    • Follows the EPA compliance plan to ensure all documentation has been received and works with Quality Engineer and vendors to resolve any discrepancies
    • Manages the Quality Assurance budgets to ensure accuracy, timely payment and is on budget
    • May perform other duties as assigned


    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; minimum of 2 years working with imported products; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. Engineering degree is a plus.





    • Demonstrated background and knowledge of testing protocols and regulations
    • Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office software especially Excel and Access
    • Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to self-motivate, work with a sense of urgency, and to prioritize tasks
    • Display a detail-oriented approach to work
    • Ability to positively handle conflict
    • Capable of working in a cross-functional environment
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time
