    Job Purpose


    The Inventory Management Coordinator is responsible for all store communication regarding inventory and replenishment requests to ensure service levels are maintained. This position also performs exception reporting for the Inventory Management Team.  Primary responsibilities include the management of store communication, analysis of reports to identify trends, execution and communication of exception reporting, and proactive communication to the inventory and operations team.


    • Accountable for inventory/replenishment related requests and communication from Tractor Supply Co stores.
      • Responsible for responding to all AIM requests, phone calls, and emails from stores within 24 hours.
      • Utilizes SAP, E3, JDA Allocations, and TMS to research and address concerns involving store inventory levels and ETAs on deliveries.
    • Identify trends in communication from stores.
      • Coordinate weekly meetings with Inventory Analysts to review communication trends.
      • Develop action plan with Inventory Analysts to address reoccurring inventory concerns.
      • Gather feedback from Inventory Analysts on supply constraints and out of stock issues to proactively communicate to the field via the AIM news page or the BPU.
    • Generate scheduled and ad hoc exception based reporting, utilizing Business Objects, Excel, E3, and SAP, and communicates to Inventory Management Team.
    • Coordinate projects as assigned by supervisor or through analysis of Inventory Management key metrics (In-Stocks and Service Levels, Inventory Turns, Forecast Accuracy, History Exceptions, and Supplier Lead Times). Analyze sales trends and communicate to the Inventory Analysts to maximize sales.


    Experience: 1 - 2 years’ experience in forecasting or replenishment, preferably in a retail environment.

    Relevant experience in Supply Chain, Merchandising, Field Operations, Logistics or Store Planning in a retail environment a plus.


    Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, business, statistics, or related field preferred.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.




    • Excellent office computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and prefer experience with SAP applications.
