    This position is responsible for  managing the administration and execution of business license renewals and periodic reporting to ensure the Company is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manages end to end processing of regulatory license renewals, as well as the retention of other documents including violations, inspection notices, surety bonds and other confidential corporate documents. Monitors current status of filed applications to ensure timely filing with and completion by regulatory agencies, and to make sure company is compliant to  avoid stop-sale situations
    • Compiles required information by working closely with stores and internal departments such as Real Estate, Legal, Merchandising and Store Operations. Combines data collected to prepare, validate and remit renewal applications for regulatory licenses and permits    
    • Performs research to determine federal, state and local regulations related to license and permit requirements. Analyzes and creates courses of action to comply with laws and regulations
    • Provides guidance on Licensing issues and inquiries from various internal and external business partners concerning licensing compliance issues, violation notices, inspections, etc. Ensures and evaluates effectiveness of current licensing programs and identifies opportunities to improve these programs and drive improvement initiatives.
    • Assists with training new team members on various licensing functions
    • Reconciles general ledger accounts monthly and responds to inquiries regarding specific account activity, as needed
    • May perform other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

     

    • At least 1-3 years of experience in a corporate office environment or Licensing/Compliance Position. A Bachelors Degree is preferred, some college experience is extremely beneficial.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

    • Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize daily tasks in order to meet deadlines, ensure efficient workflow, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task effectively.
    • Must be able to work effectively and productively both independently and with a wide variety of people in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines and priorities.
    • Professional demeanor along with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must possess the ability to excecise judgment/discretion in handling confidential paperwork/matters.
    • Display a detail-oriented approach to daily activities and a self-starter attitude.
    • Possess a general understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word is required.
    • Corporate office experience is beneficial.
