    Job Purpose

     

    As a Marketing Digital/Social Designer at TSC, you are responsible for designing creative assets for leading-edge marketing and omni-channel solutions. You’ll be working in a creative in-house agency environment with other designers, copywriters, content strategist, interactive and front-end developers. We are looking for people who are passionate about design and curious about new marketing technologies.  The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly visual assets to be used across digital marketing initiatives including but not limited to website, email, social, static digital display media, animated gifs, and rich media/Flash banners.  The ideal candidate is well-versed in visual design best practices for retail, develops and executes ideas in a fast-paced environment, has experience with the Adobe creative suite, and has light html skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Graphic Design
      • Responsible for timely creation of assets for mobile, website, social, email and content marketing
      • Strong focus on mobile-first design
      • Participate in turn-in meetings to drive ideation and understanding of projects
      • Partner with the Project Manager to ensure there is clear direction of creative request and project timelines
      • Partner with UI/UX team to ensure designs translate to appropriate media with a focus on usability
    • Creative Thinking
      • Brainstorm ideas to creatively position promotions and drive user engagement
      • Research and regularly present design best practices for retail
      • Ability to think outside the box while maintaining brand standards
    • Monitor competitive and industry digital marketing trends, tools and resources
    • May perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience 

    • College Degree in Graphic Design or related field
    • 2-3 years of Graphic Design experience with an industry-leading retailer or marketing agency.
    • Experience across the digital design landscape with mobile-first approach
    • Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered 

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems 

    • Positive, winning attitude
    • Curious, proactive, organized, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple projects
    • Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
    • Expertise with animated gifs, interactive design elements,
    • Good oral and written communications skills
    • Strong project management skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects
    • Collaborative; receives feedback well and can change direction to support the needs of the business
