    Sr. IT Project Managers! If you have taken on very large, multi-phase projects including managing the RFP process and vendor partners, this might be for you! This position is responsible for applying project management principles and practices in the overall planning, coordinating, and leading the efforts of IT projects at Tractor Supply.  This requires strong knowledge of IT principles and being highly skilled and proficient in project management methodologies, including Waterfall and/or Agile, and the ability to successfully manage multiple Medium to Large, Complex Enterprise Projects.  Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects.


    • Facilitates creation and definition of project scope, including estimation of project tasks, plan, schedule, resource requirements, and deliverables. 
    • Creates and maintains project documentation including project plans, communication and process flows, and stakeholder presentations. 
    • Monitors, measures, and effectively communicates project status, potential risks and delays and team performance. 
    • Establishes and manages the project budget and all projected related expenses. 
    • Manages vendor processes, including onboarding, deliverables, and expenses. 
    • Proactively manages change in project scope, identifies issues, and devises contingency plans. 
    • Provides leadership and mentoring to team members. 
    • Drives project execution, delivery, and implementation. 


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
    • 5-9 years of project management experience successfully delivering projects.
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, or Business is preferred.
    • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
    • IT experience is preferred.
    • Retail experience is preferred.
    • PMP certification is preferred.
    • Advanced ability to successfully manage multiple Medium to Large, Complex Enterprise Projects.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Project.
    • Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team.
    • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to move beyond proven problem-solving approaches to formulate solutions.
