    Job Duties:

     

    This position is responsible for handling all incoming calls and returning calls for the Team Member Relations Department. The Representatives conduct investigations of field issues, advocate for Team Members, promote a positive culture and recommend employment decisions that are consistent with company policy and in compliance with state and federal laws with moderate guidance and oversight from Manager, Team Member Relations, and Human Resources Business Partners. 

    Responsibilities

    • Investigates and documents Team Member concerns and complaints to ensure consistent, fair and lawful treatment in order to reduce risk for company 
    • Coaches and/or recommends courses of action to all levels of field management to effectively manage and document Team Member performance issues. Monitors results to ensure consistency with company policy and compliance with state and federal employment laws with moderate guidance from Manager, Team Member Relations 
    • Interprets and ensures compliance with current company policies and procedures to promote consistency in decision-making 
    • Assists HR Business Partners in the internal investigation process by researching and reviewing employment records and other relevant documents
    • Developing and/or updating job aides/resource materials to assist store management teams in managing Team Member behavior and performance
    • Follows up to ensure completion and submission of field generated Team Member coaching/counseling

     

    Qualifications

    Experience:  3 - 5 years of experience in an employee relations or other Human Resources role

     

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered

    • Demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, influencing, organizational, and multi-tasking skills (Required)
    • Demonstrate ability to discern the seriousness of issues and effectively prioritize based upon that assessment. (Required)
    • Work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast paced environment (Required)
    • Display detail-oriented approach to work (Required)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Access, word processing, and spreadsheets (Required)
    • Demonstrate timely and accurate decision making (Required)
    • Build and maintain positive rapport with internal and external customers (Required)
