The DEI Strategic Partner will collaborate with the CEO and CHRO to identify gaps to shape strategies and ensure that Team Members, Customers, Communities, and our Suppliers experience an inclusive culture every day. The DEI Leader will oversee strategic initiatives and programs aimed at attracting, developing, engaging, retaining, and advancing a diverse workforce. This individual will be a Strategic Advisor to business leaders, HRBPs and the Recruiting team by serving as a subject matter expert and thought leader on DEI best practices   Additionally, this individual will be expected to build relationships and partnerships with strategic diverse organizations in support of attracting developing, engaging, retaining, and advancing our Team Members.

Location:  Nashville/Brentwood, TN area (Relocation Required & Assistance Provided if not local)

Hybrid:   In office - 2-3 days/weekly 

DEI Strategic Partner:

• Build and sustain strong relationships and partnerships with the Executive Committee, Officers, HR Team, the Team Member Engagement Groups, the DEI Council, and internal stakeholders to build awareness, educate, support and work collaboratively in order to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture supported by Tractor Supply’s Mission & Values.

DEI Strategic Advisor:

• Inform and advise key stakeholders, using a data driven approach, (e.g. diversity recruiting, diversity demographics, engagement survey, etc.) of specific gaps and opportunities.
• Track and report on progress of the DEI ESG goals on a scheduled basis
• Analyze DEI data and evaluate HR practices and policies to ensure equity.

DEI Stakeholder Relations

• Develop and manage external organization partnerships, networks, and relationships to stay current on best practices to enable Tractor Supply to attract, develop, engage, and retain our Team Members and meet our DEI strategic objectives.
• Represent Tractor Supply internally and externally at strategic conferences and events.

DEI Strategic Initiatives and Programs Leader

• Oversee and facilitate the CEO & CHRO led DEI Council.
• Identify strategic diversity training programs across the company through vendor partnerships. Lead the design, development, customization, communication, implementation, tracking and impact across the organization.
• Lead Team Member Engagement Group governance, steering committee training & development, advisement on strategic direction, and provide program guidance and support.
• Oversee companywide DEI celebrations and events.

Department Management

• Responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the DEI function.
• Manage budget and other financial measures for the department. Prepare budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.
• Manage direct reports, which includes coaching, training, mentoring, performance development, succession planning, etc.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years recent DEI Leadership Experience with additional 10-12 years of business and Human Resources leadership experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred.

Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certification preferred.
