    This position is responsible for the strategic design, development, implementation, and support of solutions around the management and analysis of all data assets.

    Responsibilities

    1. Develop and support Conceptual, Logic and Physical data models to support enterprise data warehouse and big data projects and initiatives.
    2. Design and develop audit processes to ensure integrity of data elements across multiple source systems.
    3. Support the design, development and unit test the reporting / analytical solutions.
    4. Assist the Business Intelligence team in performance tuning of SQL Queries.
    5. Profiling and analysis of data resources to understand content, trends, etc.
    6. Meet with technical leads, architects and business partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines.
    7. Work directly with business partners to capture and refine business requirements into core system capabilities.
    8. Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and validating reporting/ analytical solutions that meet business requirements.
    9. Work with Enterprise teams to ensure changes are properly documented, communicated, audited, and deployed in compliance with established procedures.
    10. Mentor team members on new technologies in area of expertise.
    11. Consult with the business to provide an understanding of the pace, direction, and needs of business partners.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 5-9 years’ experience developing and supporting in a data analyst role. Data Warehouse and Big Data experience preferred.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer systems design or computer science.  Any combination of education and experience will be considered.

    High Demand IT Specialized skills: 

     

    Platform knowledge (Linux,Unix,Sun,WindowsNT,XP,Open Step):

     

    Other knowledge, skills or abilities:

    • 7 years’ Data modeling experience, both Multidimensional and Relational modeling.
    • Experience using Data Modeling tools (PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, CA Erwin)
    • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. (Netezza, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle).
    • Development experience, writing complex SQL Queries and working with database platforms such as Netezza, Oracle, or SQL Server.
    • Experience in implementing Data Warehouse solution in the Cloud (Azure, AWS, Google).
    • Experience in implementing Big Data / Data Lake solutions (Hadoop, Azure).
    • Experience in advanced analytical techniques (R, Python).
    • Ability to troubleshoot database issues, standards and products as required.
    • Preferred experience with reporting tools like Business Objects, Tableau, MS Power BI.
    • Proficiency working with MS Excel
