    This position is responsible for designing and engineering multifaceted end-user computing environments as well as defining mobile standards and managing the mobile and MDM environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with both internal and external customers to understand business requirements and needs.
    • Design maintainable system engineering solutions to meet business and compliance requirements through creation and application of best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability and compliance.
    • Deploy new solutions and configurations.
    • Participate in 24x7 on call rotations.
    • Ensure service availability through creation and delivery of KPI reports.
    • Maintain and manage technical relationships with vendors.
    • Discover current technical standards and best practices (R&D).
    • Provide technical leadership, mentor other team members, and lead projects.
    • Deploy patches, updates, and configuration changes.
    • Create and document engineering standards.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 4 years’ enterprise experience in selected technology field.

     

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.  

     

    Other knowledge, skills or abilities:

    • 3 years’ experience with MS OS, OS10X, Android OS, Linux, MS Servers, Exchange, VDI, Security.
    • Strong ability to design multifaceted desktop environments based on varying criteria such as machine type, software, peripheral hardware, security, network, and support
    • Strong ability to develop complex application packaging (e.g. OS, patches, applications, scripts, Group Policy Objects, programs, utilities, and hot fixes), certification testing, and distribution across desktop environments
    • Strong ability to direct, review, and approve the creation of Windows OS, Chrome OS and Mac OS images/builds that can then utilize rapid deployment methods and employ industry best practices
    • Strong knowledge of Windows Installer technology, application packaging, authoring and MSI editing such as SCCM, Intune and AutoPilot
    • Strong knowledge of Mac installer technologies, application packaging, authoring and editing of Mac OS tools including JAMF
    • Strong ability to manage a desktop environment deploying packages using software management tools including SCCM, Ivanti, and Intune/AutoPilot
    • Strong ability with Active Directory (Group Policy Objects), windows/networking configuration and administration
    • Strong knowledge of Mobile device management applications, such as SOTI or Avalanche, to support mobile RF devices running Windows mobile and Android OS
    • Strong scripting ability (VBScript, batch files, InstallScript, Wise Script, PowerShell, etc.).
    • Strong interfacing ability with Service Desk software especially ServiceNow is preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including O365 administration
