    Job Purpose

     

    The National Marketing Specialist oversees execution of national marketing initiatives and plans in the following key areas:  1) Circular distribution, 2) Chain Events & 3) Marketing programs related to key product categories and exclusive brands.  Responsibilities include supporting the National Marketing Manager by coordinating with and occasionally leading cross-functional teams, interacting with merchant teams and vendor partners, working with internal and external partners to execute multi-channel marketing plans, budget tracking, proofreading and creating presentation documents.  The Specialist will coordinate with multiple departments including Operations, Production, Merchants, CRM and Digital Marketing.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage marketing initiatives and events by coordinating with internal departments & 3rd parties to ensure flawless execution in multiple categories.
    • Support the circular distribution program through budget tracking and analysis, day to day coordination of distribution plans, and communicating regularly with internal departments & 3rd parties.
    • Execute key tasks including writing creative briefs, coordinating end-to-end POP production for national initiatives, coupon set-up/reporting, proofreading and other projects as needed.  
    • Facilitate cross-functional partnership through clear communication, prompt follow-up and proactive execution of next steps.
    • Manage monthly in-store radio messaging program.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 2 – 3 years’ experience in project management of marketing programs, preferably in a retail marketing environment.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

    • Demonstrate effective project management, organization, communication and multi-tasking skills
    • Outstanding attention to detail, timelines and deadlines
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external partners
    • Ability to effectively communicate, interact, and build relationships to support store network.
    • Demonstrated skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
