    Job Purpose


    The Manager for Customer Marketing Analytics Research is responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing primary research to drive an understanding of our customers.  As the manager, you will be instrumental in leading the research function a Fortune 400 marketing organization and be the voice of our customer within TSC.  You will not only manage the primary research function but will be asked to guide the research strategy making recommendations to the business on additional research needed.


    • Manage the portfolio of customer focused primary research and work proactively to drive value from customer insights across the organization
    • Develop and design research instruments (surveys, discussion guides) and sampling techniques to gather data with the highest standards
    • Execute and lead research studies independently
    • Work collaboratively with the Customer Analytics & CRM teams to ensure high quality, cohesive analysis and maximized impact
    • Build and manage a system of research partners to support research initiatives
    • Analyze primary research results to foster insights and strategic guidance
    • Identify opportunities to combine disparate data sources to uncover new insight
    • Communicate complex insights and strategic guidance
    • Consult with internal stakeholders on how to leverage research and maximize return on research investments


    Experience:   5 years of primary market research experience within the retail/CPG industry or customer specific research.


    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Statistics, Econometrics or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.



    • Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
    • Strong organization and leading projects

    • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
    • Understanding of of statistics
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in developing PowerPoint presentations
    • Comfort presenting to all levels
